In Eastern Africa, a number of states such as Rwanda, the Central African Republic, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Burundi, Eritrea and the Democratic Republic of the Congo are in discussions about the usage of the Nile River Water with Egypt and Sudan. In Mali, the government has been dealing with Islamist forces. Former colonialist states such as France have been involved in Mali and elsewhere in the region. In Kenya, there is tension regarding recent elections of individuals such as Uhuru Kenyatta, who is wanted for war crimes at the International Criminal Court.
